Requirements for Certification
Before a Nissan vehicle can become a CPO vehicle, it must meet very strict requirements. The vehicle must have fewer than 80,000 miles and be less than six model years old. The first thing we do is get a Carfax vehicle history report on the vehicle. This tells us the vehicle's history, including if the title is clear.
If the vehicle checks out OK, it must undergo a very rigid 167-point inspection covering almost every part of the vehicle. The Nissan must pass the entire inspection, or it will not be eligible for certification. The vehicle will be repaired and retested. We wouldn't think of selling a used Nissan as a CPO unless it satisfies all the requirements, and every CPO Nissan meets the requirements.
